Sunset Qigong classes
on Kits beach in July
Every Wednesday, 8pm in July, Kitsilano Beach, Kits
point (from Starbucks on Cornwall cross street to
kits beach walk north to furthest point on beach
north, past concession and basket ball courts on
left). $5 drop-in.
Come and soak in the sunset with me at Kitsilano
point (on Kits beach) Wednesday evenings while
enjoying Primordial Qigong. We will meet on the
beach at 8pm and do qigong for about 45 minutes then
relax and watch the beautiful colors paint the sky.
This is my current daily form of qigong and so far
it's one of my favorites. Last couple of days I have
really been in a funk and doing primordial qigong
today during the sunset absolutely shifted me.
Please read these three short articles describing
the amazing principles and healing qualities of
Primordial Qigong. You'll wonder why you don't do it
every day.

realpolitik needed to placate China. David and
Goliath is played out in front of us as the world's
emerging superpower and the Dalai Lama walk a
tightrope over an issue of global importance. The

An Official Pride Partner Event: Moving Into Awareness
Workshop
How can moving your body bring much needed
assistance to the GLBT community in Vancouver?
In this 2.5 hour workshop, you will use your own
unique way of moving in connection with your special
creativity. This creative awareness will allow you
to release the daily stresses of life and bring in
the joy we so desperately want to have with the
added benefit of helping the GLBT community during
the Pride celebrations.
Moving to the musical beat, we will allow our feet
to guide us in a movement exploration of the body.
These movements will be joined by opportunities to
improvise, draw (abstract, not necessarily literal)
and use spoken word. This creative release helps us
gain useful resources for a more aware and wondrous
life.

This funding will go towards producing an e-book
version of our Circle's Facilitator Guide and
Participant's Action Guide. Be The Change was very
well received at the Pachamama Global Gathering in
California this June, and now 100 Symposium
facilitators are taking the Be The Change program

internationally.

Beheshto Festival:
Suluk
As we move into the summer outdoor music festival
season, we are very pleased to bring you news of
Beheshto's 6th year celebration, guiding you to
consciousness with music, dance and workshops in the
beautiful BC wilderness. As always, we focus our
events around a specific theme related to the great
mystical tradition of the Sufi. This year's theme is
Suluk – the spiritual journey… The term Suluk means
to walk a spiritual path to Ultimate Truth. Suluk
involves being ardent in the search for Ultimate
Truth, understanding the self, and understanding the
essential meaning of life, particularly of one's own
life. Since the knowledge of the universe is
infinite, the salik is forever gaining an infinite
series of illuminations that have neither end nor
limit.
We invite you to join us in our quest for truth and
understanding in our new "top secret" location in
the magical coastal mountains, for the opening
circle at 6pm, as we set our intentions for the
magical journey to follow. Workshops will run from
1:30pm to 6pm, followed by music, dancing and
celebration through the night.
Please come prepared with camping gear, flash light,
food, water, garbage bags, costumes, sarongs, tarps,
banners, basic necessities and your glowing smile.
We are all responsible for this beautiful natural
setting. Pack it in, Pack it OUT! Your camp should
be left better than you found it. Thank you for
being a part of this magical gathering and sharing
in community.
